Wentzville Family Diner

We were originally going to go somewhere else but ultimately decided to try something new. We were seated really fast and had a hard time deciding what order because everything on the menu looked so good! I ordered plain crepes with strawberries and chocolate chips🤤, expecting two small crepes covered in strawberries with some chocolate chips like you would find at any other diner, but got giant crepes with a buttload of strawberries and chocolate chips and I could barely finish one! It was one of the best crepes I ever had and I really wanted to finish them but they were incredibly filling, so if you decide to come here make sure you come hungry!

Don’t you love a surprise? Surprise this place is great for breakfast all day age 3 ro 93 you will love it. Had a group of 9 and they seated us fast. From the chicken skillet Biscuits and gravy, Alaskan waffle with ice cream and whip cream, dollar and giant pancakes,- looked like Mickey, crab cake skillet special. Go hungry go with family for a great local place.

The food is surprisingly excellent. The fried green tomatoes are a must. Seasoned to perfection. Food portions are great. If you leave there hungry...... no words. The breakfast biscuits with sausage gravy and fried chicken topped with fried eggs. A vegan's nightmare because it so irresistible. And filling. The carrot cake... oh, so good. I'll get back to dieting on Monday.

A little hidden gem in wentzville. Old school home cooked meals, today I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken chocolate crème pie and sweet tea. Be mindful they serve breakfast lunch and dinner and on the hour marks for those feeding times this place can get busy. Service is friendly and the return t is clean. This is my second meal here the first being the cheddar burger and fries which was good as well and pricing is good. Coke check it out.

I don’t know how this isn’t rated at 5 stars. The staff was friendly and fast, our server was Abbi and she always had a smile on her face. It’s very nice inside, clean and great atmosphere. As great as all of that is, the food was the best part. It was delicious, by far one of the best if not the best breakfasts I’ve ever had at a diner. The portions are huge so come hungry.

Our first visit we went in for lunch and the place had a pleasant old-diner ambiance. We were confused about whether or not we were supposed to sit down and no one greeted (or even seemed to notice) us. It would have been nice if they at least made eye contact and said "grab a table, someone will help you" or maybe had a sign near the entry. So we awkwardly stood around for a minute then went and sat down, still unsure until a waitress showed up a few minutes later and, without greeting us, put the menus on the table and took our drink orders. They have a lot of good options on their menu and even all-day breakfast. I had their catfish sandwich; it came with freshly fried potato chips. Fortunately the chips were tasty because that's all I ate - the catfish wasn't quite cooked enough. Even towards the thinner end it had that semi-clear appearance. At home that evening, I heated it in the oven and it turned out to be very salty, something about the breading I guess. Overpriced at $12. As for service, our waitress was civil but that's it. She didn't come back to check on us so when we needed something (twice) we had to flag her down. Before leaving I used the restroom -- sadly run down and a bit dank; clearly not a priority for the business. Oh, and as someone else mentioned, they surcharge credit cards but didn't mention it. All in all, I was disappointed because this place has so many great reviews (4.6 stars as of 12/2022). Maybe we just went on an off-day but I doubt we'll return to find out.
